Endura says its new GV500 gravel clothing collection is ready for everything from an evening blast to a transcontinental crossing.
It’s designed the kit to work together and provide loads of storage without sacrificing a streamlined fit. Two distinctive looks are available: a toned-down roadie collection called Reiver and a more casual, MTB-like range called Foyle.
So you can choose between Reiver bib shorts or Foyle slim-cut shorts – or pair the two. There’s also a roadie-style Reiver short-sleeve jersey and a Foyle Merino blend, T-shirt-style jersey to mix and match.
Endura GV500 Reiver Bib Shorts
Looking like a standard bib short, the GV500 Reivers use the same lightweight fabrics and lumbar support panel of Endura’s Pro SL bib shorts but include features like a double fabric layer on the outer thigh, to protect you from brambles or the worst effects of a spill.
The pad is Endura’s 600 series, which should add plenty of comfort over uneven ground.
You also get large mesh pockets at the rear and on the sides of the shorts for load-lugging.
If you want to wear a pair of the Foyle shorts over the top, Endura has placed silicone strips on the lower back of the Reiver Bib Shorts to keep them in place better.
Size-wise, like the rest of the GV500 range, the Reiver bibs are available in S to XXL.

GV500 Foyle Shorts
These slim-cut shorts have a lightweight, stretchy woven fabric that’s treated with a PFC-free, non-toxic DWR treatment to help repel water.
There are elasticated adjuster tabs at the waist and Velcro tabs and silicone strips on the waistband to help keep the shorts up.
Carrying capacity comes from zipped front pockets made of part-mesh fabric, while airflow is provided via laser-cut vents and zipped thigh vents, which also give access to the pockets of the Reiver bib shorts.
If you don’t fancy wearing the bibs, you can add any undershorts kitted out with Endura’s Clickfast system instead.

GV500 Reiver short-sleeve jersey
The Reiver jersey is made from a soft, lightweight knitted fabric that’s claimed to be fast wicking – the yarn is recycled, too.
The sleeves are extra-stretchy and added mesh panels are included for additional cooling.
Endura has majored on pockets, with three open pockets, one zipped at the rear, two large mesh side pockets and a zipped breast pocket.
Colour options are olive green or paprika, and pricing is £89.99 / $119.99 / €109.99.
GV500 Foyle T
Finally, the slim-fitting, T-shirt style Foyle jersey uses a Merino blend fabric that's designed to keep you at the right temperature whatever the conditions – and less smelly.
There’s a zipped rear side pocket and mesh panels to help keep you cool.
