Kona don't launch their 2013 bikes until Monday morning (6 August) but their design guru Chris Mandell and communications guy Mitchell Scott dropped by the office to give us a look at one of the key bikes for next year, the Process DL enduro trail bike.
In Kona's own words, they've "created a lightweight, efficient pedaling platform with geometry and 150mm travel frame features that inspire confidence while descending. Basically, the Tits Magee of all-mountain/enduro trail bikes. Versatility is the key word here—a bike with a host of subtle but innovative design cues makes the Process DL one of the most ridiculously fun bicycles we've ever made."
It's built from Kona's lightweight 6069 aluminium and features a tapered headtube for improved stability (as is the case with much of their 2013 range), their Walking Beam 4-Bar Linkage, 12x142 rear axles and tubeless-compatible Stan's Flow EX rims.
The Process DL will retail for £4,399 with the Process (same frame, lesser-specced) costing £2,599. The 2013 Kona website goes live on Monday morning at www.konaworld.com.
