BikeRadar first heard about German firm Vandeyk last year, after they announced the release of their €16,500 retro-inspired mountain bike. Vandeyk have now collaborated with Rapha and created a bike specifically for the well-documented Rapha Continental programme.
The frame is constructed from Columbus XCr stainless steel tubing. It features custom geometry and is finished in gloss black. Built to handle the mixed terrain encountered by the Continental riders, the bike gets additional tyre clearance, lengthened seatstays and disc brakes.
Rapha colour coding appears on both the seatstays and the blades of the ENVE fork, apparently translating to the word 'Continental'. The down tube proudly presents the signatures of the frame-builder, artist and painter.
The artwork also makes its way onto the chainstay
If you want one, tough – this is strictly a one-off. For more information see the Vandeyk website.
