Vielo's new V+1 Race Edition is dedicated exclusively to wireless 1x groupsets and boasts a claimed 880g frame weight.

1x mechanical groupsets are out of the equation, with no routing for a rear derailleur on the exceptionally clean-looking frameset.

This currently means you're limited to a SRAM eTap AXS groupset in either its Red, Force, Rival or Eagle/mullet guises, depending on your preferences and budget. Vielo will offer builds based on the XPLR versions of the first three as stock.

Brake hoses are fully internally routed. At the cockpit, they run through Vielo’s one-piece bar/stem.

Vielo’s showcase bike for its launch is kitted out with a SRAM Red XPLR groupset, along with Hope RX4+ brake calipers and Zipp 303 Firecrest wheelset. There’s also a 3D-printed saddle, Vielo carbon thru-axles and a red-to-orange fade paintjob, where the fade is made up of an array of tiny V+1 logos.

And there's no routing for a rear mech cable or wires.

The Vielo V+1 is in its second generation, with tyre clearance now up to 50mm and a 1x optimised symmetric chainstay/bottom-bracket junction that handles those wide tyres without a dropped driveside chainstay. Vielo says this offers 30 per cent more stiffness.

There's also a wider down-tube to bottom-bracket junction, as seen on the Vielo R+1 road bike. There’s a new, stiffer fork with wider tyre clearance as well.
