Voting is under way for the 2026 MBUK and Cycling Plus Rider of the Year awards, giving you the chance to have your say on who deserves to take home this year’s honours.
After the nominations were whittled down by a panel of experts, the final shortlists have been revealed, with readers now responsible for deciding the winners of the Rider of the Year and Newcomer of the Year categories.
For the mountain bikers, MBUK has shortlisted eight riders in each category this year, down from 10 previously.
The recipient of the Lifetime Achievement award will be chosen by our panel.

If drop bars are more your thing, Cycling Plus is also looking for your votes to crown its Rider of the Year and Newcomer of the Year.

Voting for both awards closes on 14 October, so you've got only a few weeks to have your say.
The winners will be revealed at an exclusive awards event on 26 November, before appearing in the January issues of MBUK and Cycling Plus and on BikeRadar.
