There's an interesting story in one of this week's editions of the LA Times, in which a series of scientific experts have questioned the blood doping test that caught out Tyler Hamilton and Santi Perez. While I'm totally in favour of cheats being kicked out of the sport, clearly we need to know that riders who are penalised for doping have actually done what they've been convicted of. I'm not saying that Hamilton and Perez are innocent - I guess it's more a case of the use of what appear to be less than 100% trustworthy tests undermining the whole dope control system.
