Our Garmin MTB Days series has just finished, with Natasha Litherland from Milland pipping everyone to the post at the final round at Queen Elizabeth Park in Hampshire.
Participants were bathed in sunshine as they rode round a course designed to test both them and their Garmin Oregon units to the limit.
The challenge was orienteering-based and riders had to collect up to eight stamps across a tasty mix of twisting climbs, forest track and fast rocky descents. One unlucky rider also decided to collect three punctures.
Competitors received a varying level of points per stamp plus extra points for speed. It was our last rider of the day, Natasha, who won the event by only a few points from James Lakeman. Despite having raced the day before, she got around the 7.3-mile course in just over 49 minutes.
Natasha now takes the final place at the Garmin MTB Academy, alongside our previous winners Matt, Adrian and Grant. There they'll get to improve their skills on their new Commencal bikes and Garmin units with the legend that is Steve Peat.
Steve Peat is a force on the World Cup race scene, and you could pick up some great riding tips in a weekend on the trails with the most laid-back star on the scene...
The Super uses Commencal's notorious Contact System for a plush and capable ride that is light enough for XC marathon riding, and sturdy enough for trail hammering.
The Edge 705 is loaded with high performance features that'll put you one step ahead, while the Oregon 300 is designed with mapping and trail reading in mind.
