By James Costley-White in Bristol, England | Saturday, Jun 11, 2011 3.15pm

The UK's first handmade and boutique bike show, Bespoked Bristol, kicked off at the South West city's Paintworks art centre this morning and we were treated to a sneak preview last night.

There's something for anyone with an interest in bike building, from fixed-gear track bikes and lugged steel road bikes to full-suspension mountain bikes and even some retro-looking electric bikes.

The show continues until 6pm tomorrow (Sunday June 12) and it's well worth a visit. If you can't make it, or can but fancy seeing what a treat you're in for, check out our massive image gallery.

  • Spent the morning at the show, hooked up with a couple of other guys that I know from the forums here.

The venue is rather small in area making it quite cramped at times but packed into there were some fantastic bits of hardware and inspirational designs. I was able to get some proper one to one time with the framebuilder that I've selected for my for-life bike (Justin Burls) and picked up some great ideas to tweak the design I have in mind.

If you're in range then I'd strongly suggest you go have a look tomorrow, well worth the fiver on the door - you may well get home and start shaking the piggy bank!
