Supernova has unveiled its new Superdropper dropper post at Eurobike 2026, with the brand stating it's the first dropper post with an integrated tail light on the market.

The post incorporates a TL3 MINI rear light on the top of the dropper mast, which takes power from the battery of an electric bike.

It's a clean design, with Supernova saying the biggest design obstacle was routing the light's cable through the dropper post damper cartridge.

While it will likely appeal to commuters and urban riders, the Superdropper is fully trail-optimised, with post lengths ranging from 125mm to 200mm.

Supernova is offering the post in 30.9, 31.6 and 34.9mm diameters, meaning it should be compatible with most frames.

Because it's powered via a 12V circuit, the Superdropper is activated by the lighting button on your electric bike's interface.

The dropper lever itself is said to attach via Matchmaker or Shimano i-Spec.

Supernova offers a five-year warranty on the lighting portion of the post, although it isn't clear if that carries over to the dropper.
