New year's resolutions

Morning all

having finally managed to dig myself out from under a heap of turkey sandwiches and minced pies, we're now working frantically to get the February issue of the mag finished by Friday evening. We've taken a lot of the feedback we've received both from readers and our editorial gurus at Future on board and I think the next issue will be all the better for it.

Before then, though, a little bit more tradition in the form of my resolutions for 2007...

1. Update this blog more often. Once a week is not enough, and that's enough said...

2. Do more riding - for the last three years I've planned to do the Quebrantahuesos cyclosportive in the Pyrenees but never quite made it. Maybe writing down that commitment will make me more inclined to carry it out and reacquaint myself with the Col de Marie Blanque, with which I have unfinished business...

3. Pretty obvious, but to keep improving the quality of Procycling, both editorially and design-wise. As ever, feedback from readers is always gratefully received...

4. To see more of the Classics. The Tour de France gets most of the attention the sport receives, but I don't think there's anything to beat a great one-day race - witness Cancellara at Roubaix, Bettini at Lombardy, Pozzato at San Remo.

5. Get Lance Armstrong to be our guest editor for an issue - come on, Lance, you know you want to...
