Our review
Good looking, effective SPD shoe, but hefty and cleat area might need fettling

With its skate shoe looks and chunky sole, the SixSixOne Filter appealed to a lot of riders we came across on the trails on looks alone. We chose the smooth synthetic leather finish rather than suede option, from an easy-care point of view.

On the bike it cut a good balance of stiffness and power transfer, but we did find that the deep cleat recess bound up with some of our pedals, such as the Time X ROC, reducing any available float and making for painful knees. You can shim out the cleat, but watch out for this. The Filter is available in black too.
