With cycle safety a hot topic, ensuring you're seen on the roads has never been more important. These little safety lights from LifeLine do a good job of keeping you visible at an affordable price.

The Professional Super Bright LED safety lights are sold individually, front and rear. Each unit uses a neat CNC aluminium body with the sort of finish you normally see on lights at a much higher price point.

The single LED used projects an impressive amount of light through the plastic lens, which doubles up as the power and mode-change switch – a nice touch that means no faffing about once these are on the bike. Simply click the lens once for a continuous beam setting, twice for a rapid flash and three times to power off.

You get plenty of choice on where to mount the lights too, with rubber straps that adjust to fit a tube between 20 and 35mm. A single replaceable CR2032 battery powers each light, and although they're water resistant rather than waterproof we've yet to come across any issues with sealing.

Weighing in at just 29g per unit they'll set you back £10.99 each, or slightly less at the moment through Wiggle.
