Our review
Unshakeable all-rounder in terms of grip, speed and toughness

Michelin’s updated Lithion is big on size and performance but low on cost, making it an outstanding buoyant ride bargain.

While it’s relatively heavy at a hair under 260g, the 25mm is a proper balloon tyre with a super-floated ride that holds onto speed superbly, particularly on rough roads. The 23mm is 15g lighter, too, if weight really bothers you.

Given the price we expected something to give in terms of grip, puncture resistance, rolling speed or cut/slash toughness. But however hard we rode or however wet/rough the test routes, the Lithion 2 laughed it off and left us grinning with its impressive all-round performance.
