Our review
Sturdy and reliable wheels that are ideal for training and club runs

Training 7 would be a more apt name for the Fulcrum Racing 7s. They’re not light for the modest spoke count, but they’re sensibly priced, solidly built and spin fine on their cylindrical bearings.

Sturdy plain gauge spokes are used throughout and the tension is both high and consistent. So even though the front wheel is a whisper out of true laterally, it’s unlikely to get worse – and spoke breakages should be rare.

The rear wheel has twice as many right-hand spokes as left, to better distribute the load. These have an elbow bend and are tangential; the others are radial and straight-pull. There’s a wear indicator for the rim too.
