I love the neatness of the US-made SIC Classic stem - it comes in super short 40 or 50mm lengths, with options of 1 1/8in, 1.5 or even a Cannondale-sized steerer clamp. The bar clamp is tidy and a regular 25.4mm size, so you can still fit your lights onto your bike should you need them.
The unit is also super stiff and possibly the neatest looking 1.5 compatible stem I've ever seen. There are two colour schemes available from launch: black or ultra-rare 'cammodized', but I reckon that the cammo thing has definitely had its day and that the black will stay looking fresh for longer.
I did have a little trouble finding 1.5 stem preload spacers to fit the limited space between the clamp cut-out and the steerer tube though, so make sure that you get ones with less than 3mm thickness.
