Former Swiss pro Steffen Wesemann (ex-Wiesenhof), winner of the Tour of Flanders in 2004, will be the leader of Pedaltech-Cyclingnews-Jako, the successor to DFL-Cyclingnews. Dutchman Bas Giling (ex-Wiesenhof) and Swede Jonas Ljungblad (ex-Unibet.com) will also be part of the team of manager Rudi Dubois and team directors Eric Vanderaerden, Nico Mattan and Johan Museeuw.

The team will be racing as a professional continental outfit with a British licence. They have requested for an upgrade that would give them access to ProTour races such as Gent-Wevelgem, Paris-Roubaix and the Tour of Flanders.

Pedaltech is a mail order company for cycling products, Cyclingnews.com is the world's biggest cycling website, and Jako makes sportswear. The riders will be on Museeuw's new carbon-flax bikes, which recently won the iF (Industrie Forum) Product Design Award for 2008.
