Impressive power transfer: my old shoes feel like bedroom slippers in comparison

Looking like something a Star Wars drone would wear on his big night out the DMT is very high tech with white plastic and black carbon fibre abounding. This shoe does what it says on the tin and then some!

At 600g the Flash is very light so fast spinners and weight conscious riders will be interested in this model.

But light weight is not everything and DMT once again have made a fantastically comfortable shoe that, due to its seamless construction, literally envelops the foot. The fit is fantastic right out of the box! A perforated upper will also ensure good breathability in hot weather, although the lack of mesh means that it's not going to be as cool as some.

In use the lightweight and rigid sole give a real boost to smooth pedalling and power transfer feels 100% with no pressure spots coming through from the pedal.

The proven ratchet system allows fine and secure adjustment and releasing the shoe becomes second nature after a few rides. The high heel cup is part of this ratchet band forming a wide hoop to contain the foot during explosive sprints.

The front Velcros allow a degree of adjustment - presumably more noticeable and necessary once the firm but comfy upper beds in. Walking is the usual life threatening experience, somewhat mitigated by the small gnarly heel and toe pads.

The lack of any toe protection means the Flash will inevitably get scuffed but some may welcome a little tarnishing on such a white shoe.
