Cateye V2c computer review£99.99

User-friendly unit

BikeRadar score4.5/5

This neat wireless unit sits on either your stem or bar and gives you all your speed and cadence information in an easy-to-use format.

Setting up the single sensor on your chainstay is simple and no interference affected the coded 2.4GHz digital signal during testing. Although small, the raised buttons are easy to locate even with thick winter gloves on and navigation is simple.

You get three lines of data on the screen at once and, although the figures are smaller than most, we had no trouble with legibility while a backlight lets you check it in the dark.

Notable features include a distance countdown and a target cadence zone – the alarm sounds if you stray outside your chosen pedalling speed. You also get a lap counter, and all the info is recorded in a maximum of 14 files. You can input the wheel size of a second bike with an extra sensor and mount kit costing £59.99.
