Hydrapak Flume review

The Flume is a pretty basic pack at a slightly more than basic price. The back and straps are thin and insubstantial, doing little to support the 3kg load of water and tools that we frequently cart around, and the hose was unwieldy, stiff and apt to poke us in the eye if not securely stowed. The bladder’s sensibly roll-topped though, which allows easy access for cleaning, even if the bite valve can’t be locked for dribble-free transport. At the end of the day though, you expect a little more than this for the money.

Scraping by on the basics, but there are better packs out there
