Wingnut Hyper 2.5 hydration pack review£63.61

Comfortable haulage

BikeRadar score4.5/5

Wingnut’s ‘Lowrider’ harness system takes the bulk of the pack’s weight and directs it through your hips, keeping pressure on the shoulders to a minimum and freeing your back to be an eficient radiator.

You wear rather than carry the weight and it’s extremely effective, even when the pack is thoroughly loaded with a full day’s gear.

The majority of the storage space is accessible on the move and the bungee system provides plenty of overflow capacity, but there’s no scope for organising smaller items inside the three side pockets, leading to frustrating post-ride doorkey hunts.

It’s a light pack thanks to its concise array of features, and it’s also weather-resistant due to the use of tough rip-stop fabric and splashproof zips.

It’s impossible to take it off without ending up with a mess of mesh and webbing to untangle though, and the single elasticated loop on either shoulder strap restricts hose routing options.
