Crazy light, super accurate speed multiplier with riding kit to match

Carbon has been part of Scott's mountain bike manufacturing plans for some time now and their expertise shows when you get to the top-end of the MTB marketplace.

Weighing in at an incredible 19.7lb, the Scale is a bike that's begging you to take it out to the hills and let rip. To say that this bike's a joy to ride is something of an understatement. Zippy at the start, it powers you up to your maximum speed in record time, then exceeds it with style. However fast you think you were, you're about to get faster still.

Taking a closer look at the onboard kit, it's hardly surprising to find that it's all top-of-the-range stuff. The SID World Cup forks are feather light and stunning, the Swiss wheels win awards every time someone reviews them and even the Avid Ultimate Vs (yep, no discs here) are snappy and quick to work - in fact, they may even be too snappy for some - and you get the stunning and superlight triple Titanium Eggbeater pedals as standard.

It may be insanely light, but the Scale is much more than a whippet ride, as the design and bolted-on kit package means that if you're looking for the pinnacle of off-the-peg biking, then you've found it here. It's certainly not cheap, but we can wholeheartedly recommend this bike at this price, as you get what you pay for.
