Our review
An impressively comprehensive photo review of the 2011/2012 season

With the 2012 cyclocross season in full swing, Balint Hamvas’ photo book looks back at last season, and should whet your appetite for the big international races and World Championships to come.

Traveling over 30,000 miles between 34 races, Hamvas attended every UCI World Cup, Superprestige and GVA Trophy race of last season, as well as CrossVegas, Scheldecross, Druivencross and the World Champs.

With a special on pro ’cross rider Bart Wellens and some behind the scenes features, the resulting hardback, 220-page coffee table book is illustrated with dozens of fantastic photographs that bring every aspect of the sport to life.

A brief introduction about each event, quotes from riders and some helpful insights help the book flow along nicely but don’t detract from the images. These alone tell you all you need to know.

While the book includes informative text, the pictures speak for themselves in many cases: while the book includes informative text, the pictures speak for themselves in many cases - Robin Wilmott/Future Publishing
