A good value, versatile piece of kit to keep your noodle warm

This sporty, stylish snood from Orca is so damn handy you simply wouldn’t want to be without one. You can wear it as a hat, neck warmer, bandana, hair tie, balaclava – in fact, pretty well any item you’d ever want to keep your head warm.

It’s made from best-quality New Zealand merino wool, which is breathable, and can absorb up to 30 percent of its own weight in moisture without getting chilly (so your head can sweat ’til its heart’s content, without you ending up with a soggy, cold noggin).

It also thermoregulates, so it’ll keep you cool when the weather’s hot, and toasty when it’s cold. And because you can simply wrap it round your wrist, it’s with you for whenever the temperature leaps or drops.

There’s also a cheeky nod to merino’s heritage with a simple design detail of New Zealand. At £16 a pop, splashing on this snood is money well spent.
