Foxwear Bootex waterproof jacket review£149.95

Custom-made, with impeccable weatherproofing

BikeRadar score4/5

Custom-made by hand in the UK, this jacket features Foxwear’s own laminated Bootex material and a full-length waterproof zip, with an internal flap. Waterproofing is impeccable, while the adjustable Velcro cuffs, high microfleece-lined collar and cinched hem contribute to a dry and cosy top.

While a fairly bulky jacket, the combination of mesh liner, rear vent and rear pocket vent helps keep you pretty well aired on the bike. There’s lots of reflective piping and a super-reflective 3M hi-viz material is also an option – you can even have your name embroidered on it.

He now mainly rides as a long-distance commuter and leisure/fitness rider. He has been testing bikes and working for Cycling Plus in various capacities for nearly 20 years.
