Mini review: Lusso Aqua jacket review£25.99

Lightweight showerproof layer

BikeRadar score4.5/5

This made-in-Britain showerproof jacket from Lusso offers just about all the qualities you need in a spring top.

It’s light (just 166g for the large), folds into a very small package, has mesh venting in the sleeves and sides, and is perfectly shaped for cycling, with a high neck and a long back.

It won’t stop you getting wet in prolonged downpours, but for April showers it’s ideal. It fits in your back pocket and it’s easy to wash too. Another winner from Lusso.

Simon has been cycling for as long as he can remember, and more seriously since his time at university in the Dark Ages (the 1980s). This has taken in time trialling, duathlon and triathlon and he has toured extensively in Asia and Australasia, including riding solo 2900km from Cairns to Melbourne. He now mainly rides as a long-distance commuter and leisure/fitness rider. He has been testing bikes and working for Cycling Plus in various capacities for nearly 20 years.
