We’ve had these Mutants for a while now and have been pretty impressed with them. The three-quarter length might not be to everybody’s taste, but as usual with Fox kit, they’re cut extremely well and their fit when you’re sat on the bike is excellent.
You get two side pockets, two magnetically-sealed rears and a zipper on either leg, so there's tons of room. The liner that comes with the Mutants is removable. It’s pretty basic and will do the job, but we’d recommend upgrading if distance is your thing.
Although they are cut longer, the Mutants are a good weight, and they held up manfully to a few decent offs – so their strength is good too.
Our only gripe was the lack of an adjustable waist. Bar that, Fox have produced yet another pair of shorts that won’t let you down, whether you’re thrashing your bike or sitting in your favourite beer garden.
