Rugged and durable shorts for all weather riding

Hope’s been collaborating with Endura to bring together manufacturing and race experience, and the Singletrack FR is a hardy short. Made from Cordura, water resistant and with a treatment that shrugs off mud these shorts are made to go the distance through the worst UK conditions.

They are smoother (and nicer next to skin) on the inside than the rugged outer surface suggests, and good for cooler and damp days – and long rides through winter. Stretch fabric on the inside leg and back yoke keeps things moving comfortably but it feels as if there is too much fabric in the rise. We found them baggy ‘in the area’ and given the generous application of stretch wonder if it could be reduced without any impact on freedom of movement.

We like the long leg vents, the magnetic closure on the front pockets and the wicking inner waistband, but we’re not keen on the inside waist poppers for the Clickfast liner system. These shorts are so adaptable over a range of bases it seems superfluous.
