Our review
Tight woven, abrasion-resistant fabric that's still airy enough for use in the hottest weather

The Notch grew on us – the longer we wore it, the more we liked it. The fabric is unusual – lightweight but with a fine texture and incredibly tight weave that makes it very resistant to abrasion. It means you don’t have to compromise durability of material to get shorts airy enough to ride in in the hottest weather.

The cut is slim over the hips, with a higher back waist, and we found the shorts stayed in place well. There were no snag points, which did surprise us – with an elasticated back waistband and no adjustment or belt loops we’d have put money on them pulling down. That’s precision cutting for you. We particularly liked the angled knee that dips protectively at the front but up at the back for bulk and irritation-free pedalling.
