Salomon Pro Dirt review

The cotton-feeling outer (it's actually a durable nylon) of these shorts combines well with a removable lightweight liner, featuring a channelled anti-microbial pad, that makes them feel pretty good out of the bag.

Durable, but lacking in performance for longer or more technical riding

The cotton-feeling outer (it's actually a durable nylon) of these shorts combines well with a removable lightweight liner, featuring a channelled anti-microbial pad, that makes them feel pretty good out of the bag.

But on the trails, that cottony nylon fabric was too warm and it did something very strange and bunchy. After a while, there was a de?nite nappy effect from the outer. It wasn't super comfy hacking through the singletrack with that going on and the baggy-in-the-wrong-place feeling wasn't conducive to seeking out more extreme terrain. The styling's slick, though, and you'll probably want to use the liner elsewhere for its light mesh construction and high-quality pad.
