Georgena Terry is one of the pioneers of women's bike kit, and is responsible for cut-away saddles, specific bike geometry with smaller wheels and all things 'girly' for bike wear.
These shorts, however, are quite staid in comparison to the brightly coloured and often floral Terry jerseys. The cut is long - 10.5in inseam - which gives modest coverage to just above the knee. And they're plain, in subtly shiny black Dryline fabric that dries quickly and feels great on a long day's ride. They're not much to look at when off, but somehow become quite flattering when on. Maybe it's the sculpted eight-panel construction or perhaps it's the smoothly snug fit that avoids unwanted bulges. Either way, it's good. The chamois looks traditional compared to many - it's only one density and in a simple pear shape with a bit extra length for more seating positions. I've found it comfortable for long rides and many vouch for touring reliability.
