The Oval brake levers have a strong-looking binding mechanism that is compatible with all low pro and integrated handlebars and are available with either carbon or red painted carbon lever blades.
These simple brakes are quite similar to the Dia-Compe 188s, but have a shorter lever and an aluminium body. The lever blades are fixed to the body using a simple bushing and a pair of screws either side of the casing and binding can result if these screws are overtightened. The short lever blades no doubt reduce drag by a whisker but their lightness is largely irrelevant in a time trial.
