Specialized Grips review£7.00

Given all the time and energy it must take Specialized to develop its bike line-up, it’s impressive that the company manages to develop a range of parts and accessories that put many dedicated accessory brands to shame

Given all the time and energy it must take Specialized to develop its bike line-up, it’s impressive that the company manages to develop a range of parts and accessories that put many dedicated accessory brands to shame.

A case in point is this new slim-line cross-country grip. It’s beautiful in its simplicity: just slide it on your bar, and nip up the single 3mm Allen grub screw to secure it.

From then on, all you need to do is enjoy the high levels of grip that the diamond-file, soft-feel Kraton rubber provides. Come rain or shine, you won’t have grips that slip on the bar, or hands that slip on the grips.

Out of the box, they’re reasonably comfortable when you’re riding with bare hands, and are very impressive once worn in after a hundred of so hours of use. Even better, they feel great when you’re wearing a thin-palmed glove such the Specialized Ridge or SixSixOne Raji.
