Our review
As burly as a council flat, as flashy as a penthouse. This is quality, at a price

Now in their third design, the enormous-bodied Penthouse Flats pedals are better than ever. With 250g shaved off the previous model, the weight watchers out there will soon be clucking.

Granted, they still weigh 550g with steel axles, but with a three-year warranty on both axle and body, they’re designed to take a hammering.

With a 100mm square platform machined from 204 2TG aluminium, the new Penthouse Flats are thinner than before and use a new pin design that’s removable via pliers or a 2.5mm Allen key from the back. The new design also has a breaking point to save threads should you wallop a rock.

The dual sealed bearings seem more durable than our older Burgtec pedals, and they spin on titanium nitride coated axles made from EN24 steel. These are built to last and are easily rebuilt, but will have your credit card smouldering.
