Neat reversible head, tough but not light

The all-new Havoc post is a burly seat holder with some typically neat Easton features. The thick-walled, cold-forged alloy shaft and head are on the hefty side but, despite some hard crashes and eye-watering landings, we haven't felt the need to call in the five-year warranty.

The head is also backswept to give half an inch of lay-back, as well as making the 5mm bolts easier to get to.The unique selling point here though is the fact that the thick cradle sections on the reversible head are double sided to take either standard 7mm or hardcore DH/BMX 8mm saddle rails. The extra thickness and sturdy shaft add weight though and the pricing puts it right up among the premium posts.
