A good one to consider if you’re still on the 25.4mm bar clamp standard

Nookie are a relatively new company but they've just announced they're sponsoring Kona Clump team rider Grant 'Chopper' Fielder, who'll be putting their 'by riders, for riders' kit through its paces on the world freeride circuit.

This stem only comes in a 25.4mm bar clamp size with a 50mm reach. It can be flipped so rise is plus or minus 10 degrees though. It comes in enough colours to keep the trendy happy, and uses Nookie’s own Locked Out clamp design to keep things secure around the steerer tube.

Despite its complicated looks and our suspicions of unreliability, this was easy to set up and didn’t come loose at all during the test riding. They’ve made the bar clamp nice and wide to eliminate any obvious flex, and all the bolts require a 6mm Allen key, which keeps things simple.
