An incredible helmet made even more astonishing by the price

Boardman have added the Pro C to their helmet selection for 2013, which stands as the top-end model above the Road lid that has adorned the Brownlees’ heads for the last couple of years.

The Pro C’s flared design is racy and aggressive, and looks a treat in white and grey with flashes of the signature Boardman yellow. Its sculpted arches create 22 gaping vents that keep things really cool, even on climbs.

This airiness is complemented by the lid’s interior, which fits snugly yet provides breathing room between your head and the helmet. It’s light (288g), available in two sizes (52-58 and 58-62cm) and is adjusted easily via a rear dial.

It’s also one of the comfiest helmets we’ve ever worn. It beats lids that cost more than twice the price, yet features the same kind of high-end carbon internal structure that usually means a three-figure price tag.
