Two decades on from them laying down their Scottish roots, Endura’s range of cycle clothing and accessories continues to grow. With existing lines featuring numerous new and improved items, and several all-new products, there was a lot to see from the brand at this year’s Eurobike.

For the first time, Endura have entered the helmet market, with road and off-road designs. Only pre-production samples were on show, but having seen distinctive, angular design and plenty of ventilation we’re looking forward to testing the finished versions soon.

Also new is a selection of luggage, with two sizes of backpack (18 or 25 litres) for commuter, off-roaders or leisure riders. Throwing in ventilated backs, chest and hip straps, a detachable rain cover, a compartment for a 3L bladder, a soft media pocket, a neoprene helmet cover, multiple organiser pockets and a light fitting, Endura have covered just about everything.

For the travelling cyclist or triathlete, Endura have designed a large Roller Kit Bag (see main image, above right). The clamshell design opens out to display multiple cycling-specific zipped compartments for helmet, shoes, gloves and eyewear, plus soft lined pockets for valuables.

Elsewhere on the Roller, removable shoe and laundry bags and a side pocket with fold-out changing mat are practical features. There are also comfy neoprene handles, and the bag should stand upright even when empty.

Clothing changes for next year

Updates to Endura’s FS260-Pro ranges see thin, seamless short sleeves make an appearance on the raciest of jerseys. And for 2013 there’s an FS260-Pro women’s jersey, too.

Also new is the women’s FS260-Pro bib short. The front straps pass down the sides of the torso, and in an innovative drop seat design a hidden zip runs from below the hip in an arc across the lower back – for comfort breaks.

Following on from the Adrenaline Race Cape is the Adrenaline Race Gilet, in the same translucent, breathable and waterproof fabric. It can be worn over a jersey and still allow your race number to be seen. With a pack size that barely fills half a pocket, it’s great emergency protection.

The 2013 Luminite range gains even more reflective patches, using emergency services standard material. In the Luminite II, an even brighter LED light has been integrated in the rear pocket – it’s good for up to 50 hours of use.

If you prefer the understated look, Endura’s Urban Softshell Jacket is lightweight, waterproof and stretchy, with a fixed adjustable hood, three front pockets, a large rear stash pouch and discreet reflective trim.
