Calling all descent fans

After the success of the first two 661 Mini Downhills, the race is coming to Penshurst Off Road Centre, Kent, this Saturday (24 July).

Event-runners Naked Racing have again gone for a short, half-a-minute course, which they hope will make for fast, fun-filled competition.

Aside from various age categories, there’ll be a Ripper group, catering for 10-11 year olds, and a Pro am race between big-name UK mountain bikers.

Winners will receive prizes from sponsors Royal, 661 and Sunline, and you don’t need to be experienced in downhill or have a race licence to enter.

"There are loads of people who ride in the London area but have never raced, so we’ve brought the event to their local track,” says organiser Chris Roberts.

Practice starts at 9am, with races kicking off at 11am. For more information, see www.minidh.co.uk.
