This year's Eurobike show was rammed with exciting footwear for cyclists, with plenty of brands debuting the latest and greatest in riding shoes. One of those brands was Northwave, who took the time to explain its range-topping new road shoe, the Extreme RR, in the video below.

As a development from its popular predecessor, the Extreme, Northwave has packed a whole host of new features into this latest shoe. A new ultra-thin construction provides extra breathability, while a new retention system that uses a single dial, two cables and a series of fabric loops makes for what Northwave calls a "zero pressure system".

Northwave also deploys its stiffest carbon fibre sole in this race shoe along with custom insole options, which give riders the ability to match the shoe internally to best suit their feet. The new Extreme RRs come in at a claimed 220g and will retail at €369.99 / £295 / US$399.99 / AU$499.95
