Austrian brand Airstreeem have upped the colour options for two of their most popular aero wheels and will display them at the Cycle Show at the NEC between 26-29 September.

The company, who specialise in road and triathlon gear, have launched a colour customisation programme for their versatile Carbon Aero 50 (1,330g claimed) and the Superlight 1,220g (claimed) wheelsets. Customers will now be able to choose between green, pink, red, blue and white options for either set.

At the ITU World Triathlon Grand Final in London last weekend, Rebecca Robisch completed the fastest cycling leg on Airstreeem Carbon Aero 50 Superlight wheels.

The wheels are based on an asymmetrical rim laced to own-brand double bearing hubs with Sapim CX-Ray spokes. The brake track is coated, which, claim Airstreeem, gives the wheels similar braking performance to alloy rims.

Airstreeem's UK distributor says the lead time on the Carbon Aero 50 (£1,199) and Carbon Aero Superlight (£1,499) wheelsets is less than a week.

Cycle Show organisers say a record number of bike brands will be attending the expo, which will give the public the chance to see – and try out – some of the latest bike gear from domestic and international brands.
