Silca expands line with new tools and mountable mini pump

New high-end T-Handle Folio toolset and Tattico mini pump

Silca is building on its tool line with the introduction of a new line of T-handled tools for professional and home mechanics as well as a new pump designed to mount under a water bottle.

The new T-Handle Folio was developed with feedback from pro and amateur mechanics, as well as pro riders. The set consists of 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 10mm hex wrenches as well as T25 and T30 Torx tools.

Silca’s T-Handles have several features that set them apart from competitors. They are fully-forged with sliding, oversized cross members and will have endstops as well as a center detent that locks the handle in a T position.

As one would expect of Silca’s tools, they come with a premium waxed canvas bag with storage for additional tools.

This high-end tool kit comes with a price to match. The T-Handle Folio will retail for £142 / US$185 /AU$TBC. It will be available in late November.

The Pocket Impero is a great pump and because of its proven track record for reliability, it was the pump I chose to carry with me during a 200-mile gravel race this summer. Unfortunately, Silca don’t supply a mounting bracket with the pump, so I was forced to improvise.

Now, however, Silca is releasing the Tattico — a mini-pump with a frame mount. The Tattico is the first Silca portable pump to use a hose since the 1950s. The hose is stowed inside the inner barrel, so it can slide in and out without requiring the user to remove it and thread it into place. The Tattico's head can be reversed for use with Presta and Schrader valves.

The Tattico can reach a maximum pressure of 100psi and is 9.5in / 24cm long. It will retail for £45 / US$55 / AU$TBC. The Tattico will be available in late November.
