The first round of the 2010 Downhill World Cup took place in Maribor, Slovenia over the weekend, where Santa Cruz Syndicate rider Greg Minnaar stormed to first place after pre-race favourite Sam Hill came a cropper in the mud.

Team Commencal’s Gee Atherton took second place ahead of fellow Brit Brendan Fairclough (Monster Energy/Specialized/Mad Catz). Read the men's race report now.
