Got a unique idea to pitch?

Dragons’ Den, the BBC’s entrepreneur-finding programme, are seeking applicants for their new series, and they want to hear from you if you’ve got a unique cycling invention or two-wheel related idea.

Over the last seven series of the show, many budding business people and inventors have secured investment from the Dragons, including Levi Roots’ £50,000 to kick-start his Reggae Reggae Sauce and Carol Savage, who secured the cash to develop a food networking website.

So, have you got an invention that just needs a financial backer to get off the ground? Do you have a bike design that’s going to change the world of cycling as we know it? Why not put it to the Dragons and see if they back you.

Here’s the best way to secure the cash with your idea/product:

  • Unique selling point: A product that serves a need like nothing else.
  • Scalability: Something that can be up-scaled to make real money.
  • Route to market: A clear way the product can be sold and marketed.
  • Mutually beneficial arrangement: A clear benefit for the Dragons.
  • Exit strategy: A plan of how the entrepreneur/Dragon will exit and make money.
