More great cycling movies at BikeRadar Live

You won't only be having fun on two wheels at Brands Hatch in mid-July, as there's a wealth of great off-the-bike activities on show at this year’s BikeRadar Live, too.

Live music, DJs, go-karting and a bike-fuelled film festival are just a few of the extra-curricular activities on offer. Read on for a closer look at two of the bike movies we’ll be showing in the Big Top.

Follow Me

Screening at 10.30pm, the big film on Friday night is Follow Me (Anthill Films, 45 minutes) – a modern portrait of mountain bike lifestyle, getting back to basics and reminding us why we all love to ride bikes. Breaking from the traditional single rider format, Follow Me is based on the idea that no one rides alone, mixing and matching the world’s best downhillers, freeriders and slopestylers in some of the best locations on the planet.

Think backyard sessions, ripping local trails, training bike parks, epic road trips and heli drops. Follow Me is all about good times, pushing limits with your friends, crazy adventures and most importantly having fun your bike, and features riders the calibre of 2008 UCI DH World Champion Gee Atherton, Cam McCaul, Brandon Semenuk, Darren Berrecloth, Ben Boyko and a host of other familiar faces. MASH SF

The next evening, 11pm heralds a rare screening of MASH SF (MASH, 60 minutes), the cult movie released last year about fixie pioneers in action in the San Francisco area.

Founded by Mike Martin and Gabe Morford, the MASH group is a hotbed of ideas, projects and two-wheel adventures, around which artists, photographers, creative talents and messengers gravitate. MASH is a testament to the efficacy of the frame, wheels, cockpit, and drive-train that carry riders through SF’s labyrinth of lanes, alleys, and everything in between.
