BikeRadar Live: Free fitness classes for all

Yoga, pilates, kids’ street dance and body balance

As part of the myriad amazing activities on offer at BikeRadar Live, David Lloyd Health Club (Dartford and Kidbrooke branches) are going to run free fitness classes for both adults and children.

The 45-minute sessions will take place during the day on Saturday and Sunday in the Big Top.

Classes will include yoga, pilates, Body Balance and kids’ sessions including street dance.

Here’s a timetable of events, followed by details about each exercise:

Saturday 10 July

  • 9am – 9.45am Yoga 15 years old and over
  • 10.15am – 11am Pilates 15+
  • 11.30am – 12.15pm Kids’ street dance 7 – 15
  • 12.45pm – 1.30pm Body Balance 15+
  • 2pm – 2.45pm Yoga 15+
  • 3.15pm – 4pm Kids’ street dance 7 – 15

Sunday 11 July

  • 9am – 9.45am Pilates 15+
  • 10.15am – 11am Kids’ street dance 7 – 15
  • 11.15am – 12pm Body Balance 15+

Note: Please bring a yoga mat or towel if you have one, and don’t forget a bottle of water.

Children 12 years old and under taking part in kids’ street dance classes must be accompanied by an adult.

Yoga: Hindu discipline aimed at training the consciousness for a state of spiritual insight and tranquility.

Body Balance: Workout that blends yoga, tai chi and pilates to build flexibility and strength, and leave you feeling centred and calm.

Pilates: Body conditioning routine that seeks to build flexibility, strength, endurance and co-ordination without adding muscle bulk. Also increases circulation and helps to sculpt the body.

Street dance: Mix of hip-hop and funk dance styles, including breakdance, popping, locking, hip-hop new style, house and electro, with easy moves to follow.
