BikeRadar Live will be the perfect place to introduce kids to the joy of bike riding, whether they take part in the skills courses, ride around the Indy Circuit, test their jumping on the giant airbag or just meet the stars of the sport.

If you want your kids to ride better, smoother, safer and with greater confidence, the Kids’ SkillsSchool in association with CycleActive and Islabikes is the perfect place for them to learn.

The skills courses are free to join and children aged 4 can use one of Islabikes’ highly-rated models if they don’t bring a bike of their own. The junior skills area will combine a mini pump track with a whole range of other features, all designed to bring out the best in young riders.

For children aged 14 and over there’s loads of fun to be had on the airbag – a massive inflatable cushion that can be used to hone your dirt jump skills under the instruction of UK freerider Chris Smith and ex-BMX rider Garry Penman. Anyone can have a go, from complete beginners to pro riders.

British Heart Foundation track ride

This year the British Heart Foundation in partnership with BikeRadar Live 2010 will give all riders the chance to enjoy an amazing bike ride around the Indy Circuit – the famous Brands Hatch motor racing track!

Children aged 12 and under can ride the track for free, it’ll cost £5 for 13- to 15-year-olds and £7 for youngsters aged 16 and over, and you can take on as many laps as you choose of the 1.9km course. It’s set to be a truly thrilling event as you enjoy the bends, twists and turns normally only enjoyed by racing cars.

The Animal Relentless Bike Tour is set to be bigger and better for 2010, and it’ll blow you away. A stunt show featuring the best trials riders, dirt jumpers and freeriders in the UK, the team regularly invite special guests to show off their moves – last year’s these included YouTube sensation Danny MacAskill, dirt jump star Sam Pilgrim and Santa Cruz Syndicate rider Jamie Goldman.

The Onza Trials team will be performing throughout the weekend, and will also be on hand to give tuition, should you wish to pick up some skills. Team MAD/Landrover will be putting on a show too with their Interactive Trials Test Track and displays.
