BikeRadar Live Open Dual Slalom race entries now live

Take on the pro course

In the MBUK Eliminator dual slalom at BikeRadar Live, the likes of Dan and Gee Atherton, Steve Peat, Brian Lopes, Scott Beaumont, Roger Rinderknecht and Neil Donoghue will battle the track and each other for the title of 2010 champion.

Now, you too have the chance to take part, as we launch the open dual slalom race, taking place on Sunday 11 July.

After watching the pro riders on Saturday night, why not give it a go yourself on the course made by Will Longden, which is designed as a fun challenge for all levels of rider.

Take on your mates (or complete strangers!) going head to head in the high-adrenaline knockout event, with prizes for the top three in each category as well as spot prizes for those just taking part for fun.

Entry is just £10 and there are three categories: Senior (19+)*, Junior (15-18)** and Women (15+)**. All riders will have a one-hour practice session on the track followed by a timed run in each lane.

This will be used to calculate a qualifying time, which will determine who you race against in the knockout rounds. In these, each pair of riders will go head to head, doing a run in each lane. The fastest goes through; the slowest is out. This continues until only two riders remain, for the Grand Final.

Schedule:

  • Practice: 9-10am
  • Timed qualifying: 10.30am-12pm
  • Final knockout rounds: 1-2.30pm

To enter the Open Dual Slalom, buy your tickets online now or call the 24-hour BikeRadar LIVE HOTLINE on 0871 230 1085.

* British Cycling Elite category downhill/four-cross riders are not allowed to enter the open dual slalom. They should instead contact Will Longden about entry to the pro dual slalom.

** Riders aged 17 and under will need their parent/guardian present at registration on the day to sign a release form on their behalf.

To enter the pro dual slalom, email Will Longden (willlongden @ mac.com) or approach him at an NPS 4X round for an entry form.
