Blue Bicycles has released the first shot of its limited edition Team RWB Triad SLR time trial bike. The bike features a patriotic red, white and blue paintjob and is built up with Shimano Di2, Zipp 808 wheels (with custom graphics), a Zipp cockpit and American flag ISM saddle.

The first of these special edition bikes will be auctioned online, starting on 15 November. All proceeds will go to Team Red, White and Blue, a charity that focuses on reconnecting veterans with community life through physical and social activity.

Only 50 of the Team RWB Triad SLR bikes will be produced. Each will have a suggested retail price of US$9,495 (around £5,925 / AU$10,795) and are due to go on sale in February, from local Blue dealers or the trisports website. Donations from the sale of each bike will go to Team RWB, while Team RWB members will have first priority to secure one of the limited edition bikes, or the rest of the Blue range, with special pricing.

Blue Bicycles CEO, Steven Harad, said: “My personal goal, and that of Blue Bicycles, is to get our veterans out riding as part of the active community.

“We are excited about our project with Team RWB and are looking forward to seeing the Team RWB Triad SLR on the road, and being able to donate more money to Team RWB.”
