This past weekend saw the first competition held at the brand new Olympic BMX venue in London. This Olympic test event was also the third round of the UCI BMX World Cup.

For the home crowd all eyes were on the women’s event, where Britain’s Shanaze Reade proved herself to be the best by beating New Zealand’s Sarah Walker and Australia’s Lauren Reynolds in a close run final.
In the men’s race it was New Zealand finishing on top with Marc Willers defeating Joris Daudet (France) and Nicolas Long (USA) in the final.
