Halfords and Boardman Bikes have launched a new road bike designed for women. The companies claim that the emphasis is on 'high performance'.
The Boardman Performance Series Road Team Carbon Fi offers a carbon fibre frame with female-specific geometry, full carbon fork with tapered steerer, Shimano 105 and Tiagra 20-speed gearing, and Mavic rims. It's available in four sizes (48.5cm, 50cm, 51.5cm and 53cm), weighs a claimed 8.55kg and is set to retail for £999.99.
The bike is available from Halfords now, and given how well the recent Boardman Bikes have performed in our testing, this could well be another ride that deserves serious attention.
